Somerset vineyards are the highest elevated in the Denmark district with views over the southern ocean and inland for 100kms; in 1995 this spectacular location became the home for Graham and Lee Upson’s vines to flourish. Drop in to meet Graham and taste wines with true varietal intensity and flavours. Tastings are free from 6-7pm with Jerry Fraser shucking fresh oysters. Since 2001 Chief Winemaker Paul Boulden has been developing Sandalford’s award winning wines in Margaret River and the Swan Valley. A charming personality and long time favourite of Must Winebar’s, he will be presenting their Estate Reserve range on the 24th, place this one in your diary now. Tastings are free from 6-7pm, and the Oyster King Jerry Fraser will be doing his shucking thing on the night. Blanc blends from Margaret River, Hunter Valley and Bordeaux. 30 Years of Cape Mentelle hosted by Rob Mann

Here’s an opportunity to look at more than 30 years of wine produced by one of WA’s greatest wineries. Taste the 1983 Cabernet Sauvignon, a Jimmy Watson Trophy winner that assigned Margaret River cabernets national standing, and the 2008 Wallcliffe that has provided WA with a Semillon Sauvignon benchmark. The sublime 2002 Chateau d’Yquem (yes we know it’s not from Cape Mentelle, but who’s complaining?) described as “the sweet wine of millionaires” will complete the evening. 5 Courses. $150. Phillip and Shelagh Marshall have been picking asparagus exclusively for Must for years, so here’s an opportunity to taste a range of dishes made with one of Russell’s favourite regional products matched with a carefully curated list of straight Semillon and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends from Margaret River, Hunter Valley and Bordeaux. Jerry Fraser kicks off the week opening oysters to order. He has access to the highest quality mollusc available – different species are featured depending on what looks best at the time. A glass of Riesling, Champagne or Sherry and a dozen natural – how divine.
Wine Stars at the Wine Bar
Our sommeliers and visiting winemakers get behind the bar and open some of their favourites for you to taste. It could be some obscure grape variety, amazing producer, or their choice from a region.
